Now if some of them can actually play major league ball, we should have a fairly good base from which to develop a good club.

We counted 23, but we may be counting a couple of specs we own in other leagues but not here. All the leagues start to blend together after a while.

Re-counted and we do have 23 on this particular list.

Things should get interesting for us in the next year or so. There will likely be some difficult trades and releases to consider.

I thought Tatis, Bichette and Whitley would be Top 10 or right on the edge. Happy to see they are. Always enjoy BA Top 100. They are usually the high man on a lot of guys. Seeing A. Hays 21st, JP Crawford still Top 20, are great examples of that.

To be fair they've backtracked quickly on Crawford. They dropped him in to the 90s last year at midseason.

If we went strictly by lists, we would not have half the specs we now own. Ramos is 18 years old. He'll rise slowly, hopefully to be a producer for us down the road.

We don't regret drafting Heliot Ramos very early in Rd #1. Had we waited on him until later in the round, he no doubt would not have been there. It's not always about who you take as it is about when you have access to a player you want. That said, we make a lot of mistakes drafting. Like so many of these picks, Ramos could be a star or a bust. We'll see how he develops before we before we say whether he was a good get or not.

Will be very interesting to see where he is ranked at this time next year. heh

I looked and BA had him even lower last yr at midseason, so it’s consistent really, I guess I’m just used to seeing him higher up on lists, but I suppose they just aren’t as high on him as some. And it’s not a new development.
