Looks like Stuart Fairchild was drafted last year by the White Sox so not eligible. Needs to be added by CWS As long as he is unrostered, Fairchild is eligible. I'm talking about the fake draft for this league, not the real draft. He was taken by Cincinnati in real life but the White Sox in this leagues draft. was taken pick 14 of the 2nd round. I think it was just an error that he was never added on Fantrax. I don't see any transaction where he was dropped or anything like that

As long as he is unrostered, Fairchild is eligible. I'm talking about the fake draft for this league, not the real draft. He was taken by Cincinnati in real life but the White Sox in this leagues draft. was taken pick 14 of the 2nd round. I think it was just an error that he was never added on Fantrax. I don't see any transaction where he was dropped or anything like that Situations similar to this have happened in the last two drafts, where a player was taken in one draft, never rostered, then repicked the following year (Josh Staumont and Peter Alonso, for anyone wanting to look up the threads). Each time we allowed the pick to stand. There is a clear expectation, restated over and over, that selecting teams will roster their picks. We allow for leniency on this rule but a precedent has been set that if a player comes up again in the draft or spec bidding, he is eligible for acquisition by a new team. Fairchild is eligible for bidding. That being said, the flip side of the coin is that GMs who don't roster their selections often run franchises that are suffering for lack of attention. It's in that vain that I will be adding the White Sox 1st round pick from our most recent draft, Jake Burger, to the CHW roster. The Sox GM has not been around much in the last few months and we may need to replace soon. I don't want the franchise to suffer too much from inattention. FYI, depending on whether Bob tunes back in for spec bidding, admin might also work on a way for that franchise to participate in this weeks spec bidding. If so, we'll let everyone know what that looks like.
