ARMS Think our first four SPs may be the opener for each of their clubs... even Gallen. Then it gets kinda dicey, with Pearson more likely to be in the rotation to start the season than Gore. Severino is the obvious issue; we were expecting him back by now. But trading Skubal and Paddack was likely just as impactful to our pitching as trading Wander Franco was on our bats -- likely a big mistake.
SP: Tyler Glasnow SP/TB 2021: $.5M (PP 2021) SP: Zac Gallen SP/ARI 2021: $.5M (PP 2023) SP: Stephen Strasburg SP/WAS 2021: $26m; 2022: $26m; 2023: $26m; 2024: $26m; 2025: $26m SP: Jacob deGrom SP/NYM 2021: $33.5M; 2022: $33.5M; 2023: $30.5M RP: Chad Green RP/NYY 2021: $.5M (PP 2021) RP: Evan Marshall RP/CHW 2021: $3.1M RP: Chris Heuer RP/CHW 2021: $2.5M; 2022: $2.5M (PP 2025) RP: Aaron Bummer RP/CHW 2021: $2M; 22:$2.5M; 23:$3.75M; 24:$5.5M; 25:$7.25M club option P: Nate Pearson SP/TOR 2021: $.5M (PP 20xx) P: MacKenzie Gore SP/SD (hopefully called up) PINEBN: Luis Severino SP/NYY 2021: $10.25M; 2022: $11M; 2023: $15M Op (hopefully off DL) BN: DeMarcus Evans RP/TEX 2021: (PP 20xx)
** Our 2021 season depends on Severino returning healthy, and Gore and Pearson pitching up to our expectations at the MLB level.

Rotation 1- Zack Wheeler 2- Sean Manaea 3- John Means 4- Chad Kuhl 5- Jake Arrieta
Bullpen CL- Hector Neris SU- Jonathan Hernandez SU- Rowan Wick MR- Sean Doolittle MR- Nick Wittgren
I think the strength of my team will be the bullpen, with multiple RP qualifying at SP. I should get sufficient holds, Ks and decent ratios

SP1 Gerrit Cole SP2 Walker Buehler SP3 Drew Smyly SP4 Adrian Houser SP5 Derek Holland (Place holder for Spencer Howard, who'll likely take his place in May or June)
CL: Raisel Iglesias SETUP: Jairo Diaz SETUP: Jeff Hoffman Middle: Josh Taylor Middle: Anthony Misiewicz Middle: Justin Topa
IR: John Brebbia (Hopeful MidSeason addition)
Good rotation, with holes to fill setup wise and middle relief. Issues caused by me striking out on UFA RP reverberate here.

Is this where we boast? Ok, I can do that for pitching. Not so much hitting.
Starting 5, SP Depth, and Bullpen.
Starting 5:- 1- Max Scherzer 2- Mike Soroka 3- Jesus Luzardo 4- Corbin Burnes 5- Julio Urias
SP Depth:- Brandon Woodruff Zach Plesac AJ Puk Tyler Mahle Ljay Newsome Brandon Bielak Chris Rodriguez Yerry Rodriguez Nick Lodolo
Bullpen:-
Closers- Taylor Rogers Rafael Montero
Potential Closers- Seranthony Dominguez Jose Leclerc
Holds guys- Wander Suero Paul Fry Blake Taylor Reyes Moronta
Another year of praying that my pitchers don't fall apart. I'd put my front seven or eight starters up against anyone. Just got to be worried about pitch counts this year.

Starters Blake Snell Dallas Keuchel Justus Sheffield Dane Dunning Chris Flexen Joey Lucchesi
Bullpen Devin Williams James Karinchak Diego Castillo Austin Adams Kendall Graveman Vince Velazquez Jordan Yamamoto
Looks like I am a starter short to be a true contender (thanks to my ill timed Mike Clevinger deal) so on that note if anyone wants to move a starter for Jorge Polanco and the ability to tag into his team friendly deal let me know

My rotation is top shelf, but the rest of my pitching has questions. My depth SP have strong upside, but job questions. My pen has no closer either. However, my bats and my premium rotation should take me to the playoffs regardless of those issues. And while it might cost me a top seed in roto, in h2h during the playoffs those faults are less fatal. I may still upgrade my rotation depth and pen before the playoffs, but am for now leaning on my bat and rotation strength to carry me thru the regular season since I have a lot of upside pieces that could make trading for upgrades unnecessary.

1. Luke Weaver 2. Kris Bubic 3. Ryan Weathers 4. Cade Cavalli
RP Order of Use for High Leverage 1. Jordan Romano 2. Adam Ottavino 3. Brad Hand 4. Ian Kennedy 5. Kolby Allard This rotation has a mix of veterans and young pitching stars. The bullpen has a solid CP and 2 decent Setup but the overall depth is lacking. Pitching is definitely the strongest part of the team.

Rotation SP: Gerrit Cole NYY 23: $43.7M, 24: $43.7M -> Expensive No. 1 but he's mine. SP: Ryne Nelson ARZ 23: $0.0M PP-2027 -> Fighting to win Dbacks fifth spot. SP: Andre Pallente STL 23: $0.5M, 24: $0.8M, 25: $0.5M -> Probably will bounce between SP/RP IRL, but as I rebuild, he's all I have SP: Jon Heasley KCR 23: $0.5M, 24: $0.8M, 25: $0.5M -> Same as Pallente
Bullpen CL: Edwin Diaz NYM 23: $11.5M -> Closer to build around, but the WBC injury is concerning RP: Jose Quijada LAA 23: $1M, 24: $1M -> Solid bullpen P: Kutter Crawford BOS 23: $2.47M -> We'll see where Kutter's role is 2023
That's all I have as I work to rebuild the Astros. Will definitely be scouring for improvements.
