With him being unrostered on Fantrax and with Brad's blessing, the Houston Astros select CI Peter Alonso NYM. Admin is reviewing the selection of Peter Alonso. Under our rules, the pick is legitimate as all players are supposed to be added to the Fantrax roster within 72 hours of selection. In practice we have been very lenient in enforcing this rule out of good will towards all the GMs. Will post a decision soon. Yes, and I already explained to Brad that the drafting team never bothered to roster him and he said that technically he was draft eligible. Josh Staumont was drafted last year under the same circumstances.

We are not a fan of one owner poaching another owners players. Even though Jeremy did not roster Peter Alonso, there is a paper trail that shows he belongs to Blue Jays -- drafted by him last year and obviously Jeremy forgot to add Alonso to his proboards team page or claim him on Fantrax.
We think it is appropriate and should be obligatory to notify an owner when you see something like this, not just snag his player. That's why we have a paper trail on proboards -- to avoid these kinds of situation. All we have to do is go back and do a SEARCH and see where he really belongs.
Having said that, if Jeremy himself told Astors "take him; he's your," that is another story entirely.
