Can I just check whether it is still possible to drop players after the waiver deadline? I assume so, but that you have to pay the full contract for this year. But just wanted to check.

Ben, checking back after reading the thread under Braves buyouts. Tim was following the correct procedures, buyouts are still fine until the end of the season. Sorry for the bad info.
