I'm a neopolitan man. I get bored with just one flavor. Neopolitan is good, Spumoni(spell check?) is even better

I'm new to the Dynasty world so please forgive my ignorance but this is something I don't get... I joined 3 leagues to start myself out in this season. One of them is a cash league (gambling issues) but the two other are free. Seems like there is more complaining/bending the rules/tanking talk going on in the 2 free ones. Figured the money one people would be trying to get away with murder to win cash lol. I thought this was suppose to resemble MLB baseball but it's appearing to be like something else. There are 30 teams in MLB that put 25 out there for 162 games a season plus have huge farm systems and huge drafts to build those farms. That there is the reason I wanted to play Dynasty because that sounds like a challenge to win. I get why people do what they do in dumping their MLB talent for young guns for the hope of success in the long run but that there seems like a different type of game. I just don't get why people would play if they can't look at their team everyday/week (I like the week thing, gives me a little life here) and plug and play players into their lineups. Not just get a bunch of young players and come back in 4 to 7 years and hope they made the journey. Maybe play dynasty MiLB if it's just a love of MiLB players. I don't know.. maybe after a few years I'll be doing the same but as for now I'd like to not take last place in any fantasy sports game. I'll find a way to win instead of be a shit club. Sorry fellas/ladies... just trying to understand. I agree with this.

Sorry fellas/ladies... just trying to understand. I am sorry I missed this earlier so forgive me. You are new to Dynasty leagues and think you can be in this intense league along with others? If the others are as detailed as this, you might be sorry you have stretched yourself so thin. I debated joining this one since I run a similar league, but decided I could be in this one as long as I didn't have to be an Admin or trade committee member.
I find this is the best time to work out the rules. If we get a few years in and loopholes are still open then you will see more problems so seal them up now.

I think what Padres was saying is that he would rather work hard to field a competetive ML roster than spend years not competing by building only a minor league powerhouse.
To Tony's point I agree that rule loopholes and such need to get nipped in the bud as quickly as possible. With all the great owners and many if them having been experienced league managers/commish/board members, we should have no shortage of ideas when issue arise.

The minimums will be 600 IP/2100 AB. I have already applied them to Fantrax. However I forgot to mention that these minimums only apply to the First Year Player Draft. So if you do not meet the minimums you will be dropped by 5 draft slots in the first year player draft. If you are able to make the playoffs and are still under the minimums you will still be able to enter the playoffs and your draft position will not be altered. If anyone has any concerns about this please let me know. Thanks.

AB and IP should be reversed, right?

AB and IP should be reversed, right? Yes. 600IP and 2100 AB is the correct. Nobody could reach 2100 IP

those are regular season numbers too (which was made clear in the first message of this thread just reiterating). based on the poll results, i don't think any of this is a surprise.....rob's just closing it off and also making it clear what the result will be for missing the mins.
