Rays trade:
MI Ha-Seong Kim (SD) - 2022:$18M 23: FA
Quick trade with Rays. Blue jays were targeting another high priced MI or CI. Forgoing some 2022 production in order to take advantage of that post- 22 tag situation for Kim. Kim defense proved itself and hoping bat comes around to acceptable. Even if he plateaus as a 10/10 backup MI, I'd still be happy with total price of Halpin + a tag + 4YR/$19.5M contract for Kim. Even as a fan of Halpin, who seems to have a nice hit/speed floor.
