Saw this on the Fantrax this morning:
New Rules to Take Effect: The minimum for the scoring category Innings Pitched was not met. The minimum for the scoring category At Bats was not met.
What does this mean? Are these part of the rules changes that we are supposed to be discussing over the winter? We were under the impression that three or four "rules" from last season would going to be amended or changed -- including pitching designations, etc.

It's nothing that we have changed. It's a fantrax thing.

Suggestion: Why not set up the pitching as follows?
SP SP SP SP
RP RP RP RP
P P P
Alternative
SP SP SP
RP RP RP
P P P P P
That way teams/owners could decide for themselves whether to emphasize one aspect of their staff or another. Pitchers who have flexible eligibility at both SP and RP would take on new value. Teams would still need to cover the pitching categories and set their staffs accordingly, so the feared "streaming" would be minimized.
Scott suggested something like this a while back. Couldn't find the exact post. All we did was add one more arm to the mix and add some P positions to allow owners to run their clubs as they see fit.

with weekly it was a pretty clear 5 starters and 4 rps format. but going to daily and using a starts or ip limit in lieu of weekly, then its something to look at 5/4 was a structure that cane from weekly rosters.

Just a comment, but I drafted based on the current number of SP's.

Yeah, everyone did. That doesn't mean we have to stay with a poorly conceived structure. Nothing wrong with improvements if we see a need to upgrade.
But it is good to see someone on here wanting to participate in discussing things. Thanks, Tony.

Thanks. It is sad to see so many people dipping out after 1 season especially when some people are setting up teams to rebuild off the jump

Just a comment, but I drafted based on the current number of SP's. Tony, we'll probably handle that by putting in either a max starts limit or max ip limit that roughly corresponds to 5 starters and 4 rps. it won't be as perfectly exact as the daily lineups, but it'll be close enough to make it alright to switch to daily rosters.
