Is there a link to the spreadsheet we are using for Dynasty GM Baseball?

I am not 100% on this, but I don't believe the league uses the spreadsheet approach. Fantrax rosters and the rosters and transaction registers we keep on Proboards serve the same function.

Yeah, we agree.
Not a techie at all. We don't use a spreadsheet.

But I cannot find anywhere on fantrax that says what my cap remaining is. I have my own spreadsheet, but wanted to double check and make sure it is the same as what the league shows.

Cap info won't be on fantrax, just roster. You'll have to pull out the 'ol abacus and do the math or cut and paste from your spreadsheet into your roster thread.

So who is keeping everyone honest? How does anyone know when someone is over the cap?

my feeling is if someone wants to cheat at a free league, that says something about them. obviously, mistakes can happen too, so its not just about honesty though. and i get wanting to make sure everything is above board. that said, if someone screws up the cap, the league has the discretion to punish teams. so if there are any cheaters out there, it can be dealt with that way and most things eventually get noticed by other managers. there are lots of hawks around that will notice things just when looking at possible trade offers etc.

It would be nice if we had a spreadsheet. I'm in another league that uses Google docs to keep track of every team's roster, contracts, and cap. I think we have 4 or 5 people who can edit the document. Everyone else is view only. If our admin wanted to go that route at some point, then I'd be happy to help if needed.

We like the idea of viewing it without having to figure out how to actually add or subtract info to or from it. heh

As one who has setup a spreadsheet, it's a lot of work and 1 person shouldnt be tasked with keeping it updated.

Yeah I would suggest at least 4-6 people who could maintain the spreadsheet.
