Could be wrong, but when I asked Brad what the story was for dropping players after the waiver deadline on the Questions thread he said the deal was that you had to pay the full price for this year of the contract (I guess because otherwise someone trying to game it could wait until the last day of the season and buyout at half price (not saying that’s going on here obviously)). Or have I misunderstood?
No real issue either way, but just want to make sure I know the situation for next year.

I didnt actually see your question at the time so I cant say if this is related, but maybe, a few days later (Aug10) a buyout deadline of Sept 2 (end of reg season) was set. Not sure if that is actually a change from Brad's previous answer to you because a buyout is technically different than just releasing or dropping a player.
