Blue Jays trade:


SP Shane Baz (TB) Prospect

These were some straight up trade talks with Ron. I never get to see Baz pitch for me. Baz has been asked for a 1000 times. Jays window is wide open. Have the tag and cap space for a Rodon RFA after this season.

Great talks, Beau, appreciate the time and effort.

I trade Rodon for Baz who's coming off of TJS near the end of next season but having him for four or five years depending after that will offset the loss of Rodon in the long term. Believe I have the pitching to cover some of Rodon's stats this coming season, but not all, that's the chance I take for Baz and TB's Dev and Rehab organization.

Love Rodon and his landing spot with the Yankees but needed to make some cap decisions for the future while Beau walks away with a great pitcher for his playoff push.
