Mets trade Brian McCann, C (NYY). 2015-2018 $17m per, 2019 $19m CO

Mychal Givens, RP BAL
Corey Littrell, SP STL
Leonardo Molina, OF NYY
Lewis Thorpe, SP MIN
Cody A Reed, SP CIN
Chris Iannetta, C LAA 2015 $5.525
Aaron Hill, MI ARI 2015-2016 $12m per

See a chance of making the playoffs this year and catcher is a spot where I'm weak. Giving up a haul of lesser specs for quality. Ianetta and Hill make it work for me financially this year and next.

We mostly are trying to clear McCann's long term salary obligation. Hill and Iannetta are on short term deals, and we get a ton of prospects, some of whom we think might work out for us. We've bounced around in the middle of the pack all season...

So we agree to the deal.
