Man I love Baz (but his elbow issues and then TJS scared me a bit) and have followed Endy Rodriguez growth through the minors and became enamored with his bat and positional flexibility he can provide if the Pirates keep playing him at OF/2B/C. Love McGarry's arm too he flew through A-AA and then finished up in AAA.

Might be a slight overpay for my hunt for Rodriguez. This is one of those trades where maybe I look back in five years and will either regret the trade or be ecstatic about the bat acquired.

I agree while I like Mcgary I feel like the first round pick will do me better in a rebuild. And I like my catching prospects and don’t have much in long term pitching so Baz should fit in nicely. Gl to you to Ron
