Nationals trade FYPD pick 1.8 and Adam Conley SP MIA 2016: $500k PP-19

Mets trade Derek Dietrich CI/OF MIA $500k PP-17, Joe Smith RP LAA 2016: $5.25M, and Erasmo Ramirez SP TB $500k PP-16.

Nationals happy to pick up an upgrade in the rotation, much needed help in the bullpen and a bench bat with flexibility. Thanks and good luck El Guapo.

We wanted to get another Rd #1 pick, as we work toward expanding our MiLB system to the level that would make our club self-sustaining.

We realize we gave up a good holds guy, but the youth of Conley and the pick won out. We also trim $6.25 in salary.

Mets agree to the deal.
