I guess I should have opted in for those infinite number of picks in the FYPD huh? I also should have known that 18 year old SS in his first professional season of baseball was going to impress!! But you're right, we all should've known better...Our punishment, open recommendations to all!!
It's a silly rule and I've yet to hear a good excuse for why it's in place. Alas, difference of opinion isn't a bad thing I guess.

The truth is you still have a big advantage in spec bidding if you are researching and evaluating independently. Any advantage received from not posting would be marginal, on the one hand, and adverse to a market based league, on the other. The point of posting a player is to create a market.

The point of posting a player is to create a market. in all seriousness, that is the reason for posting. its making sure the pricing system in the league works more efficiently. by having it clear which players are being bid, you have more bidders and more competition. no posting would mean less bid competition and a less efficient market. so, to respond to the why we post question, what brad said.....
